The role of poets from Fars in the Constitutional Revolution

Abstract
Constitutional
Revolution in political history of Iran is very important. This movement also
left various influences in Persian literature. Different poets, who mostly
lived in Tehran, with poems and publishing them helped to achieve the goals of
the revolution. In study of the impact of the revolution generally overlooked
areas except Acerbaijan and Tehran. One of the areas which had a significant
role in creating and Continuation of the revolution is Fars. In this paper,
after a brief review of the constitutional events in Iran and Fars,
constitutionalist poets of Far"s divided into two categories: 1. Poets who in
their poems reacted to events with poetry, trying to reform society and to
express their views on this issues, Poets like: Mo"altar Bavanati, Tajer
Shirazi, Mo "taqed Ahrami, Fasih-ol-zaman Rezvani. Sadid-ol-saltane and so on.
Their poetry is important both historically and in terms of social and literary
matters. 2. Poets that their performance caused strengthening of public
revolutionary morale and also Constitutional Revolution. They endeavor by
journalism, writing treatise, the armed struggle, establish associations, etc.
Of course, there is a third category, e.g. Sho"a" Shirazi and Sadr-ol-sadat
Kaseruni, that who are opposed to modernity and constitutional Government. They
indicate this idea in their works. This indicates a difference of opinions and
also protest against the status between poems in a geographic area.
